Gerard, this photo's title couldn't have been better (to me). You're right we are the intruders but, something tells me you are respectful of it and feel gratefull it is still there for you to breath in and walk through. Love this shot!

Wonderful Gerard.
The rest of you, this is an english beechwood. there is no undergrowth because the leaves take so ong to decay, thus preventing anything else from taking root.
Flick.

You know the saying "There's grass on the pitch.... lets play!"
Well I think this says .... "Don't fiddle in the forest if there's no undergrowth". I'm not going to ask what you were doing hiding behind that tree! (and I bet it was one of those redwoods ..... 200 ft tall or something....)

The title creates the image. Very rich dark areas. Interesting forest. There is no undergrowth.

Fantastic Gerard,
The exposure clarity is really something. Nice to see you know who is really in charge in this world.

Glad to see you back man........Hope you have some free time next week. Could be you in the moderator chair ;-)
