Hey Marc - I do like this one more - and i've been enjoying playing with lower, and higher saturation both lately. Just need to change the emphasis on the title? - Dusk through the Pines? ;-)

A little boost to it. Hope you like it... !

hmm... I missed the earlier version, darn it. I think Shirley has a good suggestion - also boost saturation a bit?

I saw some paintings like this today and wondered how I could do a similar photo. You did good...I'll try sometime. Katherine

I think there was something bolder in the colors on the tighter crop, the feeling of pines shows more in this one, that is true. I like them both for different reasons. Hummmm can't decide which I prefer. I'm wondering if you could put a bit more contrast in this one and have the best of both that way? Just a thought?
Guest 20-Nov-2006 20:59
They are both very good. I personally like the tighter crop. I keep coming back and trying to find good words to say why I like this something abstract. But I guess I just like it???
Guest 20-Nov-2006 20:44
Thanks guys ! I just updated it with a wider version...hope you don't mind ! This one gives a clearer view of it, i think you can now better imagine the woods surroundings. What do you think of it ? Less abstract, yet indistinct...

I agree with Shirley...........very smooth and calming. I think it works very well in that my eye does not wander and can absorb the whole composition. Nicely done Marc.

Well it works for me! The colors are really nice. I don't know if I'd have ever figured out that it was trees though. Regardless there is something very appealing about it. I love those oranges and golds.
