Thanks Brent. Your comment shows me that the idea is probably working. As the theme is negative space, I wanted an image which would cause the viewer to be drawn to the negative space. By definition, negative space cannot be the subject nor that part of the image which leads the eye to the subject. I therefore split the subject (two linked objects) making them diametrically opposed in space and dimension. This creates tension forcing the eye to the negative space which, of course, is full of nothing. - Frank

You really got the objects floating. The sharpness works well. It feels a bit off balamce - perhaps because my mind is trying to anchor it in space and there is no ground. Interesting shot.

Thanks Alistair. In fact there is no original as such. The glass and the bottle were shot separately and inserted into a 'virtual' space. The shadows of course are not shadows but 'warped' versions of the glass and bottle.
