I like how you have captured the right spot to get a green row straight out the front and again out the left. It is amazing how many people have died in war. I wish the people who start them would have an appreciation of how many people will have die just to prove they are right. Thanks for the thoughtful picture, Shirley! - brent

Scale very well caught, and spot on theme. I'd have cloned out the car, but whatever, it is still brilliantly done.

Very sobering, you've captured the scale very well Shirley.

I do like the starkness of the white stones. It's almost like a 'green&white' with a touch of blue.

Hi Shirley
Good to meet up again, if it is only through the net.
Great photo you have here, what makes it for me are the lines and lines of pure white, even extending up and over the hill all on the green green grass.
The trees are what makes it "sobering" and the shadows make it reality, notice the fallen leaves on the foreground!!!!
The one and only obstructing point(object) for me is the car in the middle ground. Dont worry its a stunner.
Well done.

You know you are 100% right! I am hoping to get out there and possibly replace this one with a new take on it. I actually took about 8 shots and found fault in everyone of them. LOL Now I know what I didn't like about them all I can try to avoid the same mistakes. If only the sun comes back out before Monday! Hummm maybe a rainy day wouldn't hurt.

I like the overall effect of this shot, but I think the composition could use some tweaking. The tree being almost in the center of picture, takes away from the continuity of the shot for me.
