Punchy! Love it. Looks straight to me, but since you ask I think the OTHER one could do with straigtening (not that I care about such things, but others might).

Very nice shot - very urban!

Thanks for the comments.............anybody think I should straighten this?

Just to repeat the comments, excellent entry, title and image match perfectly. Love the strong diagonal and the reflections.

A possible winner, well done.

your title is so appropriate. The graininess softens those hard lines.
I like it alot.

OOoops I did mean Soldier Field the new one. Now I'm so confused I can't remember which stadium I saw. It would have been on the east side of chicago I'm pretty sure. The one without the grass wall I think. Who cares, I want to see your photos. LOL
Shirley Haden28-Apr-2006 00:44
That would be great! The last time I was in chicago was probably when you were born LOL It was around 1982 or so. I remember going by Wrigley Field but have never seen the new stadium. Will be neat to see it.

Thanks Shirley....sort of hard to explain but it is taken from up high at Soldier Field (newly renovated to much dislike by many as it lost it's Historical Status) and is very post modern. The old columns were saved and integrated into the design. I actually rather like it's bold approach. I will email a few to you so you can get a better perspective.

Well this is definately a view of the John Hancock building I've never seen before! You've got my curiosity going from looking at this. It seems you are on a roof, are those skylights that the clouds are reflecting in? Hummm pretty neat picture Charlie!

LOL, i've just seen the rest of my typing for that first message!
I type with two fingers (one on each hand) and am forever hitting either the wrong key or more than one key.

Ha thanks Flick.............I'm kind of grinny and I often like things grainy. ;-)

LOL, i measnt graininess of course, not grininess ;-)
Flick24-Apr-2006 15:45
Charlie, you have a great, immediate, documentary style. Vry dynamic while being realistic.
Th grininess of this ads consoderasbly to the gritty composition.
