Although this is a very formal arrangement, the family look very comfortable. The linking of mum and dad with the arms is a clever touch. In fact all of the hand positions provide nice touches that we can interpret. And of course the eyes of the younger boy add good humour and mischief. Although I usually like close cropping, the space around the figures adds info here, and gives a nice feeling of their environment. The light is a little flat, but that light is hard to work in, and it is handled pretty well. Great balance in the photo. Great background, too.
