The birds are Little Corellas, which are white in colour. They're an 'abundant species' in some parts of Adelaide, including the area where I work.

I used a polariser to darken the sky, then a red mono conversion and leaned on the curves a bit to squeeze some high contrast out of this one to emphasise the shapes as much as the tones.
