We have more sandhill cranes this year than I've ever seen. They are here (out at Carlos Avery) by the hundreds, where as years past it was a few dozen. They did a large controlled burn and evidently the cranes loved the fresh grasses and cattail that came up. I finally got a close shot of one of them in flight. Your lake is just beautiful especially with the hills or mountains in the background. The Sandhill Cranes just added to the mood.
