My daughter lives in Issaquah, which is east of Seattle. One of these days I'll get there. I hope!

Hi Shirley, Winters are mild, compared to Minnesota, but it's the rainy season Oct-Mar. Because of the geography, there are many micro-climates here; we're close to mountains, big water, and the Japan Current, plus a few times each winter a big mass of cold Canadian air arrives. Last winter there was one snowfall at our place about 15 miles west of Seattle; it was almost an inch.
That would be the ferry I'd like to take if and when I ever get to Seattle area to see my daughter. I haven't seen her for many years, I'm looking forward to when we do go. Amazing how many people travel through on the ferry each year. So Zen, how are the winters there? I think that's when I'd like to come. I know its not nearly as cold here.
