The image softening certainly gives it a "painted" effect. The benches invite one to sit down and enjoy the serenity.

I like very much the treatment you've applied in this image. As Shirley has pointed out, it has a strong quality of dreamlike. I like the colours, the effect brings me on mind some pieces of the Impressionism. endika
