Very nice shot I agree you could think the leaf was back lit. The say that leaves and one of natures fractals and if you zoom in the veins start to repeat.

I also like the veining. Is this backlit? The leaf seems to be floating suspended.

Maple leafs abound! I really like the veins and how nicely they stand out. I'm wondering how cool that might look in a macro close up of a section of the leaf. I like it either way.
