The pier is so solid. The sea seems ephemeral, insubstantial, by comparison. It's a most effective juxtaposition.

The sunset is very nice but what draws me into this image is the power of that now serene ocean. If one looks hard enough one sees ocean debris littering the pier and the bolts on the piles are rusty. Suggests to me that this pier is often awash with rough seas. Kudos

Some places just seem to repeatedly get wonderful sunsets with brilliant color. You have them, plus luckily over the ocean so you have a clear view. We get some awesome sunsets here too, but the foregrounds and backgrounds are a lot harder to come by than your location. Really pretty Dennis.
