Pinkneys' Point, Nova Scotia - Brenda

A subtitle could have been "power poles". There seem to be a lot of those! The Point is a small fishing community near Yarmouth. It's also close to some excellent sites for watching the fall migrations of many shorebirds. The salt marshes are extensive and I often come here to see what's around. Taken in evening light.

We do have power poles here in England but mostly in the countryside. Not that many in the towns as most cables are underground.

The comparison of wildlife and human habitat is powerful. Rich autumn color anchors the frame.

All our power is underground here in my city, but we are littered with a light post every 15 metres or so on each street so makes for difficult shooting. I like the light in this, very broody.

I see the GBH there in the middle of this scene. Yes there are a lot of power poles too! Did you know in England as far as I know, there are no power poles, all the electric lines are under ground. I don't know why we don't do that here. Pinkney's Point looks like a nice small town.
