Thanks Shirley. This bird is a male Australian King Parrot which has the most striking red colour of any of our birds. They are very common on the East Coast of Australia. This fellow let me get very close and was happy to pose for me. Dennis

Very striking! Is this a conure? I've never seen this bird before. I love it's very sweet face. Nice entry Dennis, and thanks, I can't ever get enough of your birds there in Aussie land.
