I want to sit next to her and steal some of her vibes. a good discussion about the gathering of energy in silence would be a starting point.

She could be thinking so many things or trying to let her mind go blank before carrying on with day's activities

Shirley, me too I would wish to have some of the great photos you've shared with us over these years. I think this will be possible if we put in practice Brent's idea for celebrating the 200th Challenge: make a book with the best photos of all the photographers who takes part in the challenge. I would be happy if we can convince the old participants to take part too.

You're a master artist who portrays the human condition with clarity and empathy for the subjects. I can relate to her, because I often sit down and mentally disappear from my surroundings. The irony of the background painting is also brilliant, with its formally-attired men and soldiers and its ornate architecture in total contrast to the quiet woman's casual summer clothing and flip-flop sandals.

She will have a rather nicely mottled tan if she's not careful! Exccellent shot Endika!

spell check solemn* not solomn. My spelling stinks! :o)

Michael's right, it is excellent. This is the style I love of yours Endika. This will stick in my mind, like so many of your shots do. This lady who seems to be in deep meditation, the couple that you photographed just standing against a wall with solomn faces, the Gelato Man (the one I have a print of and LOVE), and the restaurant boys taking a break in the ally. All very rememberable. I would love to have a gallery on my walls from you.

This is excellent, the play of light and shadow on the facinating tiled wall and on the lady make this come alive.
