incoming clouds - brent

This was my most photographed tree when I started out in photography. If there were odd clouds, a remarkable sunset, etc I would rush over here to catch a picture of this tree in the weather.

The day I came here and saw the tree leveled and the ground being prepared for a new housing development I was devestated.

It's always fun to take pictures of the same tree over the years. If you don't do so, you don't realize the changes that occur so gradually. The clouds add to the sadness of the damaged tree.

Shirley - I am a tree hugger from way back - I have favorite trees that I stop and visit in several places. A little bit of roof peaking over the horizon would have been perfect - I guess the telephone pole signals incoming civilization. brent

I think it says something about a person if they can get attatched so a tree. After all tree's are alive and they grow so much older than we do. I know pointing your camera in this direction from this spot was never the same again. :o( I love the clouds in this shot. Oh the impending doom.
