I love shots like this. I think we should do a "guess what this is" challenge of everyday things that we only get a hint of. I love the brushed steal, at first a gun barrel came to mind, but no this is a dead bolt lock on a door. That's my guess anyway. What fun and how nicely photographed!

Likewise, I cannot discern what this is ... brushed nickel, perhaps? Anyway, love the light, shadows, composition. Intriguing.

Cannot guess what this is, but doesn't matter. I like the subtle shapes and light to shade gradients, and the slight insinuation of texture also. endika

Isn't this nice!? It has the extra benefit of one of those optical illusions where you cannot tell if it is curving in or out. brent
