Catman, Brenda, Shirley, I appreciate your comments. This is a walkaround snapshot in landscaping outside the postoffice in Bainbridge Island, Washington State, 98110. Almost as if the maple "decided" it was time to decorate the pine. :-)

The transition from Fall to Christmas always seems so abrupt (and premature) to me. I like the naturalness of this - the real leaves and real tree. The effect is lovely - more appealing than an excess of glass and glitter.

Someone should make oranments like this! I'd put them all on my tree. Well, I suppose that is what the Poinsettias are for. Well, none the less, these brilliant lovely fall leaves do feel like the holidays are just around the corner!
