As to the eating . These look very small do you shell them or just crunch them up.

well, they are good eating,, these in New Orleans are especially used, a component to Etoufee,,, they are really tasty,, they are minature Lobsters,, they are actually imported nto the US from China,, If you eat shrimp or lobsters,, crayfish are your next experiment

Somebody had the amazing idea of introducing these crabs in the spanish rivers. They expelled spanish crabs, and now they are a true plague in many rivers... they aren't much appreciated here! Marimontse

A crawdad! Well that is what you call them in Kansas anyway. We used to go hunting these when we were kids. They would be burrowed into the mud along the creeks. My older brother and I, looking for the big catch! I have never eaten one, just can't get my head around it. Good catch Stefan!
