My neighborhood is for the birds. - Brenda

I live in the country and don't see a lot of human activity, but the critters make up for it. This cedar waxwing is eating an apple blossom petal.

Awww, one of my favorite birds. I love their little bandit masks they wear. All they steal is our hearts and a few apples off the crab apple trees. :o) Super shot Brenda, a home isn't a home without birds!

Nice garden you got there, Branda! You give honour to both the bird and beauty of the apple tree blossoms. The DOF used is also perfect in my opinion.

Beautiful shot Brenda - the white really lightens the picture and makes it a lost softer (more floral).

well , my first encouter with a cedar waxing was as a kid (were are talking) 40 plus years ago,,my father found one with a broken wing,, in the back yard while mowing,, we tried to rescue it, and brought it in to the back porch, we all gathered mulberries which were prevelant,, and the bird ate them up, we knew nothing about how actually healing a wing, we tried to let it fly, a few times,, we were not great vets,,it did not survive,, but they are beautiful birds, (actually I think that they are just a more subtle cardinal),,
