Beautiful scape! It is very well structured around these dark horizontal lines, that also contrast and enhance the delicate colours in the lake and the sky. This contrast is accentuated by the chaos of the dried grass.
Strange to see a fozen lake when temperatures are reaching easily 25 C here!

gives me a very calm feeling, cloud patterns really enhance image and sun not being directly centered makes composition more interesting

Thank you Brenda. Yep, it's going to be in the 50s most of the next week, maybe even hitting 60 on the weekend. Wow! So maybe some of our lakes will finally have waves instead of ice.

Wonderful light! This scene gives such a strong sense of space, and it looks very cold. The frosted grasses add to this effect. Yet there is hope, for some of the water is thawing at the edge.
