childhood's end - brenda
by

This little bike is leaning against an abandoned trailer out in the middle of nowhere, on a deserted beach. I've often wondered about the story behind this.

Looks like the Scorcher, suffered some over the years. Much the like surrounding atmosphere.

Nice photo. Detail across the frame.
A little oil here and there, pump up those tires, dust off that seat and you're good to go.
I'd guess there's a skinned knee or two in its history.

Great shot! I'm pretty much a sucker for the color yellow I beleive, especially with a faint blue (or strong blue for that matter) behind it.

This was once someone's home, and perhaps only transport.
What happened top them?
Did they die? move on to better accommodations?
Was this just a summer house?
so many questions...

I too like this forlorn bicycle, but I wonder if a wider view, with more context, might help us create the story. --Stefan

It has already suffered some rough weather! It brings me on mind abandoned stuff in artic zones: same rust and desolate appearence. Great find.

.. and you know there was a child who was zooming around on this with a grin,, and, then the child got to big for it, or thought it was a passing fad, and "poof", bike graveyard,,
