Looks much different than the willow tree in my Dad's yard, which is a good thing. Very dramatic sky and blowing willow just adds to the effect.

An excellent image with a dramatic treatment. It has a wonderful sense of motion whil retaining an atmosphere of foreboding.

I really like deep inky skies in B&W photographs, most of my favorites have this feature. It is very well offset by the white foliage.

Thanks, everyone, for the nice comments. Richard, the sun was striking very young spring leaves, so I applied a yellow-green filter to lighten them further. --Stefan

I love the white hue of the leaves on the tree against the very black cloud. how did you manage to get that white quality of the leaves?

Really dramatic!
I don't know if it is due to the treatment you applied here, but it looks actually like a big storm was brewing!

Wow, this is an awesome shot. The movement really comes across clearly. The lower limbs cascade like hair! I also like the treatment - it looks frosted in a way. beautiful!

Beautiful, dramatic image!

I really like the treatment on this shot. The sweeping of the willow branches in the wind seems in sharp contrast to the metalic look of the tones. It's almost like the photos done on metal.

A bit of a breeze there? Gives the feeling of seaweed waving in a current

I have viewed this a couple times,, , first thought was it was infrared,,,and then that very dark image to the left of the willow branches,, foreboding, the blackness, it that something , approaching or taking over,,?
