Great picture Shirley. So much character, so many stories in his (Marv, your husband I am to understand) face.
Have gone ice fishing once, my neighbours keep trying to get me out again, not really my thing, but Marv's face certainly leads one to realize he has seen a lot of life.

I agree with the Connery resemblance. This is a great portrait. Hope you have this framed because it is a keeper.

Well, now Marv thinks he's Bond, James Bond. See what happens when I let him read the comments! LOL Thank you all for the nice comments, not to worry he still brings me cups of coffee, only now with a Scottish accent. hahaha

This is fabulous! Marv conveys a certain raffish, devil-may-care attitude. The leather cap is a crowning touch. You definitely know how to capture the soul with your camera. This guy looks awesome. :)

Have to agree with the Sean Connery eyes and twist of a smile. Great lighting on this Shirley.

That is one heck of a portrait, paid or unpaid. :)

Trond, you keep that up and I might start charging! Marv pays, Oh boy does he pay! "Marv would you move this there?" "Marv would you get me a pop" "Marv would you go get the other camera, it's out in the car". Yep he pays. LOL

lol Brad, wall-eyed. That gave me a big chuckle! Walleye is some good eatin', and if you've never gone ice fishing, just like in the movie Grumpy Old Men, you should try it. It's fun and you can see everything in the lake through your hold (i like a 2x3 foot opening for spearing) you can see all the fish swimming about under you just like a huge aquarium. You made me feel like going fishing now. We haven't gone in over 7 years. Yep Marv's a keeper, the big fish! ;o)

With that cap,, I want him to take me on a fishin exposition,, to get some northern pike,, with those moon eyes,, or less likely wall eyed,, ,, this is the face that Sean Connery also enjoys,, natural and great bone structure,,, you got a great companion, Shirley, hang onto him,,,

..and the unpaid photographer? You really should go professional!
