Now we get the beauty of a night shot! So glad your camera is back working again. Night shooting is alot of fun - isn't it? The world unfolds in a complete different way.

Glad you like this one as it is a very new thing for me. The instructor used a flash in three to four quick bursts during the long exposure so the boat would stand out. He just ran down to the water's edge, fired it off and then ducked and scooted to the other side of the craft. The boat was in darkness between flashes. My camera seemed to catch a lot more of its "blueness" than some, or maybe it was where I was standing. Otherwise we just went with the ambient light. There was a fairly bright moon behind us. I also took a few shots without a flash, as we were trying different approaches. This kind of shooting could get addictive!

great absolutely straight horizon, and blue really stands out, that sounds like an interesting course to take, was it to use available light or did you add flash or other lights?
