Thanks! This is an old shot from the last time I ran the Tuolumne River, in 2004. This raft has just dropped over Clavey Falls, missing the boat-flipping hole on river left in this Class V rapid. The guide came down inside the boat and was instantly calling commands to the motivated paddlers to avoid the nasty rock that is just out of view to the right.

Shirley, I carry my camera and lenses in a waterproof ammo box, which is securely strapped into the raft when underway. When we stop to scout the more difficult rapids I have a chance to photograph some of our boats before it's time to pack away the gear and make my run.

Hi Brent!

Whoa! Looks like the guide in the back is about to go over board! I've always thought that would be such great fun! Kind of hard to take photographs on the way though. LOL Wonderful exposure in a tough situation. Its very hard to get a shot like this. It's like shooting on snow the spray is so white.

There's floating and then there's crazy!! Although I'm sure this must be fun, I couldn't imagine trying it. Excellent shot of the action.

Hello Tony! Long time no see! Great action - looks like that guy in red is getting ready for his morning bath.
