The area of Bagan in Myanmar is well known for its old Buddhist temples. At the entrance of the more popular temples you can find all kinds of salespeople. But when I drove past this temple I noticed there were no people at all. Which surprised because in my opinion it was a beautiful building. So I got out of the horsecart and went inside. And somehow, because there was no one there, it had a great ambience. I sat on the ground before a Buddha statue and could easily imagine how hundreds of years ago this was a new and busy temple where lots of people came to pray. There was also a staircase so I went up. There are other temples in Bagan that offer better views but for me it was magic. It was so quiet. Just the sound of the wind. The next two pictures are examples of the view I had.
