I love the discription of the fields of vines. These grapes look like they want ate! I think we get a lot of grapes from your area when ours aren't in season. Not possitive though. I have some in the fridge right now. I think that's a lovely shot too! I think with your discription it works wonderfully for the theme too. A great place to feel some solitude it seems.

Yes it’s a bunch of grapes waiting on a vine. I live in the Western Cape which is one of the worlds largest wine growing areas. Their are vineyards 1.5 km from wher I am currently sitting. It is a bit of lateral thinking , but if you have ever seen vineyards on a daily basis you might understand. In the growing season a vineyard must be the one quietest places in the world. No tractors or people nothing the sole purpose is to let the grapes ripen on the vine day after day. You see hundreds of square km with the grapes just sitting and waiting in this nearly surreal environment. Then comes harvest time and all hell breaks lose these vineyards are often hand picked in a 48hr period. I suppose its definition the theme is solitude but a lot of the shoots could also be used in a theme called Desolation. I do see where you are coming from though LOL.

Sorry, Collin. That was me.

I like the colorful combination of cheery and dreary, with the bright leaves drying and the plump grapes hiding their juice. The shot is great but I confess that I'm not getting 'solitude' from it.
