The perspective is crucial here - and so effective. This shot could be a metaphor for divine blessing, creative inspiration or receipt of the final prize - the glorious crown conferred upon the faithful soul upon his death. A beautiful and memorable image.

Yes, Brent is right. This has the feel of Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling; the touch from above adds depth to everything. Although I suppose that is an Olympian's laurel wreath. Speaking of depth, your rendition of this sculpture also has real three-dimensionality, Endika.

When Pontious Pilate was told he would have no power if it were not given to him from above - I can see a bit of that here - the convergence of two worlds. How separate and independent we feel - though so many aspects (I feel) coordinated thru above.
