Many questions without answers are contained in this picture. One can think a lot about this scene and know nothing at the end.

What a compelling shot! There's much here that gives rise to questions. The viewer is immediately involved in the scene and in asking about it. Who is this person? Homeless or sleeping-it-off? Where did he or she come from? The shoes themselves look kind of wild and make their own statement. They're the one bright touch in this rather bleak tale.

He sure has wonderful shoes. I think i'll keep walking in my own though.

Thank you for your comments.
Shirley, although it's a bit difficult to say because the coat hided him entirely (except the feet), I think he was a homeless with a good coat and a nice pair of shoes.

Endika, I keep thinking of your shot of the clown shoes when I look at this. What a strange collection of beings we are, we humans. Very poignant image made more so by the vignetting.

Wow you can't get more solitude than that. Great shoot.

It is kind of a sad solitude

i agree with Shirley. This is a picture that raises questions. Which makes it of course a great photo.

It is those shoes that caught my eye but the headless fur coat sure makes me wonder...is this a homeless man with such nice things or a fellow down on his luck or someone had waaaaayyy to much to drink last night! That is some kind of solitude! Not the kind that he had hoped for.
