3rd - ab ovo usque ad mala - FrankM

Latin phrase used to signify "from the beginning to the end". Literally it means "from the egg to the apple" and derives from the fact that the traditional Roman banquet started with eggs (hors d'oeuvres) and finished with apples (dessert).

Great still, lightning and forms. I like mine eggs more al dente, though!

The primal egg generates so many things! It can certainly represent far more than a simple food item. This is a gorgeous still life; the lighting and composition are wonderful. I also like the two strong shapes - the sphere and the oval.

Fine still life, Frank. I think you've controlled light very well here.
BTW: I didn't know this latin expression, I knew "ab ovo" to mean "from the beginning", which origin was quite evident for me, but now I think it could be simply the first half of this one you've quoted. endika
