Very well done! The actual scale is grand, but in this shot we don't necessarily know that, so it could represent several things of varying proportions. At first glance it reminded me of an old-fashioned turntable.

When I first saw it, I thought it was a speaker, a big bass speaker. Then on opening I thought it looked like a hatch from a mother ship, with the stars shinning through around the ship leaving dock. I have no idea what it really is, just cool to look at!

Ha ha hah! This is way cool! With no scale this could be as small as a stack of coins or large as a major piece of architecture! Like the little bits that gradually lets me assume the latter. Like how you kept the tones to a very limitted palette.

Hey, I really like this slightly eccentric view of one of the most architecturally attractive places in Washington DC. It's always nice to see familiar sights through someone else's eyes.
