Actually they are both bees... a little metallic green one on the right, and an even smaller black one on the left... didn't even notice that one until I brought up the image on my monitor.

Looks like a viridescent bee next to the ant. Ours are long gone. Lovely colours here! I'm envious.

actually we don't have many insects here... centepedes are the most awful, they are huge and they bite! and I'm so glad I never see them where I live. We love that we don't have mosquitoes too.
