So, I'm thinking, the next time you walk up close to a tree like these; give it a pat on the bark, look up into it's branches and say "Really, gnarly dude" and make that tree's day. LOL

I always thought bare trees must be the true meaning of the expression "gnarly dude!", not some crazy trick on a skateboard! HA!

Their character is revealed ... much more menacing, now they've been stripped of their coverings. The nakedness of deciduous trees is reason enough to want a change now and then. It's such a long wait to see leaves again. Sigh.
