The mercurial nature of the water suggests interesting nuances of change and mystery. I really like the muted tones and the way the leaves are suspended on that glassy surface.

I too like this shot very much; as was said, the different layers are lovely. And I like that it's cropped to work, not tied to 4:3.

Endika said it better then I could have! It does have so much depth and it is a flat surface. I keep coming back to see this one again.

I like this composition, Brent, and how you put wo worlds in one: this one of reflection in the water, with its own textures, deep, narrations, and this one of the floating leaves. Each of them has a different nature, and there are plenty of things to see in each one. endika

Wow Brent, with shots like this, you might lure the Hawaians to Minnesota! That's really very nice. I love the clear reflections of the leaves still clinging onto the branches above. Great job spotting this scene.
