Earth + water = clay, clay + fire = pottery, and what thing is that fills pots when they are empty? ;o)
After I processed the image to get an abstract, I've realized that the resultant colour palette is quite on the theme:
Black for the earth, blue for the water, gold for the fire and white for the air.
Just a nice coincidence...
