2nd - Songs from the Wood - Colin
by

Jethro Tull

Let me bring you songs from the wood:
to make you feel much better than you could know.
Dust you down from tip to toe.
Show you how the garden grows.
Hold you steady as you go.
Join the chorus if you can:
it'll make of you an honest man.

Beautifully done, Colin. Is that you parked on the rock?

I like this photo, great atmosphere and feeling! The dark trunks work very well here to give straucture to the image. endika

Being a HUGE J.T. fan i love this one of course!

The image goes great with the feeling from that album IMO.
(I have a slight feeling i might prefer the Color version though, but i almost always do.)

A beautiful photo and a wonderful message Colin. Nature often has a way of bringing balance back to what sometimes seems like an off-balanced world that we live in. That's what I think of when viewing this image and reading the lyrics that you associated with the photo. The scene also brings to mind the old saying that the simple things in life often contain the greatest riches. This photo invokes many fond memories of past hiking/backpacking trips, as well as everything that was gained/learned along the way.

It makes me often feel good walking in the woods and the montains. Thats what this song is about, making of an honest man.
The moods in the picture reflects the lyrics in a outstanding matter.

The juxtaposition of the seated human and large, dark trees brings a wonderful sense of scale to this. For all our efforts, Nature wins in the end and heals the scars our axes and saws have made. This scene makes me think of Middle Earth. The light is amazing!
