Campion Hall - Bruce

Living near Oxford is a gift for me. So much lovely architecture, and
always odd corners tucked away like this waiting to be discovered.

I love the arch and the warm browns. I am glad you enjoy the architecture of you environment, I live where the people would rather destroy the old and replace with new

Thanks all, and thanks to Brent for getting me out looking. I've not found this challenge easy, hence just the one, but nice to be made to look harder.

Love the compostion here and the great golden colors of the stone framing that rich wood door. Very nice shot Bruce.

Beautiful - how the arches are strewn out - can almost feel them going out and over the head. The yellows are mellow :-)

Nice layout, light and composition. I also like the soft colours.

Thanks Brenda and Miro. Interesting point Miro. I have other angles, and still can't work it out! Both steps look parallel to the stonework, so I think it's just the extreme perspective of the 7-14.

Nicely composed, Bruce. I'm intrigued and can't figured out, is this an optic efect, or this upper step is slope for real.

I envy you the wonderful architectural opportunities! This shot is a case in point. What strong and elegant arches! What a solid and beautifully-detailed door. "Campion Hall", I think? Makes me think of Thomas Campion, the poet.

I really like the composition, which makes this image even more striking.
