The Birds of the Air - Brenda
by

I may live longer, but these free ones fly
closer to God, caressed by wind and light
so fair and generous, I know they're blessed
above most creatures. The wild geese, tonight,
pass overhead with joyful shouts. My rest
ends suddenly and with a longing sigh,
I turn towards the window. Shadow-wings
whisper below the March moon. Trees are dressed
in silver, where no finch or wood thrush sings.
A barred owl drops a feather on my lawn,
calls to his mate, then circles and is gone.

Another great capture from below. How did you not spook it?

I love your poem, and about one of my very favorite things in my life, birds! Your photo of this little woodpecker is very good too, nice details. I just want to give him a little rub on the neck and kiss on his forehead. :o)

Miro, we're all creative in different ways, right? My strength is verbal more than visual. My photos are only amateur work and they miss the target as often as not. Do you have any of your art work posted online? I'd love to see it.

Brenda.
Nicely composed and with fine light/details. I like the poem to (mostly common words).
I'm sorry for not having this talent, for words, but I can draw/paint pretty well, instead, and can do many other things. One can't do or have everything.

Another very good shot and again the viewpoint adds to the interest.
