Thanks for the comments. As to catching anything nothing absolutely zip. We nearly became fish bait though when someone forgot to put the hull drain plugs in before we launched and we nearly sunk in Durban Bay. Things where a bit tenser than the rod at that time. This was the only catch of the day.

I like the curve but as a pure curve but the straight line of the fishing line breaks it up and for me distracts from the really fine pole curve along with the poll line loops. I understand the contexts is that the moving water pulls the line and I like the feeling of motion it creates.

Everything in this image works together: the frame that excludes people or any unnecessary detail, the dark b&w conversion, the strong inclination of the water... a strong, powerful result that reinforces the tension of the curved rod. endika

That's one heck of a rod there Collin! Holy cow look at all those eyes! Looks like some heavy duty line too. I'm guessing you weren't fishing in the local lake but in the ocean with that set up. This shot is perfectly on theme and I really like it. Did you catch a whopper? :o)

As n ex fisherman I can tel, some big game fishing is in the course. Nice catch and idea. Like it B&W.
