Cassini Oval - PaulM

In 1680, Giovanni Cassini defined the egg-shaped curve mathematically, which now takes his name and is called the Cassini Oval.

Interesting information about the oval shape of an egg, didn't know it had a name. But, this egg by any name would be great! I love this.

Excellent picture ! Super lighting (we shere the same technique, but i use it for dynamic scenes) and colours. Bravo - my kind of pics at the moment.

I may be wrong but I'm sure I read somewhere at some time that the egg was the perfect shape to give the maximum strength to storeage capacity ratio.
I like this one better than the one you have in the cup because the only element is the egg. A perfect design from nature, really nice work.
