Unusual composition! I haven't studied a persimmon in quite this way before. It looks like something inflated - top of a parachute, maybe - into which the star is pressing down.

Well done!

Nice, bright, cheery! Just what we need amid all that ice! Well seen.

Good one Steve. The star looks like its on the bottom of a trampoline ready to bonce right out of the picture.

Yep, actually seen from home it does make a difference, with the highlights making the satrburst more visible. Forget what i said !

Hmm. I disagree with Marc . Highlights and shadows give the picture natural look (3D) and without that pictures are flat and no life in them. This is really good IMHO.

Excellent idea ! Did you try with a polarizer to reduce the highlights ? The resulting uniform orange colour would be awesome i guess. Good stuff.

Love it! Bright and vibrant splash of hot colour, just what we need to warm us up on cold winter days.

The orange color is very very good! I love your starburst in the center too. Very nice shot Stefan, well composed and like I said the colors are really good!
