What a triplet! You have caught perfectly the moment when they have marched for some hours, the enthusiasm of first moment is already gone but they have to follow marching.
The guy of the right is worth a reportage, and the taller seems a little a very famous politician (the gift of ubiquity?) :o) endika

Thanks for the comments. The tradition goes back about 200 years where the slaves had the right to march down the main street in Cape Town on the 2nd of January " tweed nuwe jaar". The descendants of the salves and people on colour uphold this tradition but its become a bit bastardized due to change with the times. There are about 50-70 "troops" of minstrels with ages ranging from about 4 to over 90 and even people in wheelchairs. Each troop has its own brass band and tunes. They also have acrobats and of course the drum major. These are 3 of the 30,000 who took part this year there are about 300,00 spectators’. With these lot I think the emphasis was on loud and not music.

Terrific stuff Collin! The guy on the right must have taken Dizzy Gillespie as his role model...

Wow, his cheeks are over-inflated!
Great shot, full of energy

Oh my, would you look at those cheeks!! What a great catch Collin! I think that young man should maybe consider taking up the flute or a woodwind instrument. He looks about to pop!

Oh, I just love this picture and the trumpeter in front makes the image for me. I have known horn players who do this and I wonder if they develop excessive jowls when they get older LOL

the other two horn players are doing it correctly

Lie it Collin! Great colours, and the font really works.
