Cascade I, Alistair

Derwent Resevoir Dam, in Derbyshire

Famed for the dambusters (they trained on the Derwent dam and there's a small museum in one of the dam towers) and Tip the sheepdog

This is one of my all time favorites Alistair. I won't ever forget this shot. I love the sense of power it conveys. Just a fabulous shot! I wish so badly I could visit this place. The sound of the falls from the dam must be deafening.

I like the B&W and the way this forms a rather abstract pattern. If the railing weren't there, I'd have no clue as to what this was.
