Oh Colin, this is just up my alley! It has a deer in it for one thing, but the house with the smoke coming from the chimney and the slope of the land where the wheat or barley crop has left its stubble, and the wonderful golden leaves framing the shot. WOW it's really nice!

It's a great name isn't it :-) One of my favourites is a village further south called "Lower Uppham", it still makes me smile when I drive through there.

It's called Bedlam Bottom?!! I LOVE that name! I ought to call my own place Bedlam Bottom as it would fit. But this looks so tranquil and un-bedlam-like. What a lovely pastoral image of the English countryside. I wonder how old that cottage is.

The tiny figure of the deer calls for closer scrutiny and draws us into the scene.

Wow, we don't see a roof like that any where in the US. a great fall agriculture scene.

Homely-looking cottage Colin, and nice light. It's not the Chilterns is it? Sort of looks familiar,
