The Isle of Skye Bridge in Scotland-Shirley
by Shirley Haden

This was actually taken in 2003. The toll to cross the bridge was 8 pounds, which would equal $15.00 dollars. Ouch! We took a ferry over to the south end then crossed this bridge. The shot is taken from the Lochalsh Hotel. What a view this was right out the window in the morning!

Very picturesque. I like the chain gang of white flamingos in the foreground ;-)

I musta brought them sunshine. I was there a week and only one day was cloudy the rest the sun shined! Even the locals were saying how unusual it was. Musta been my ancestors way of saying "Welcome home Lass" LOL

That can't be Scotland, it's not raining!
The west of Scotland and it's Islands are just wonderful, if you are lucky to get good weather even better. I have made the crossing before the bridge was built on the old ferry, it was somehow more romantic then.
