It is in a church. There was soft music playing of a choir. It was so beautiful and serene. You could almost see the monks sitting there and singing. It was the first time I visited this place. I wanted to visit it for a long time. Last Sunday I went there with the intention to make some pictures for this challenge. I said it before: these challenges are great, they get me out of the house.

The wood is wonderful! Such a graceful curve and rich tone to the wood - walnut, maybe. I also like the brickwork and the fine detailing along the loft. That light fixture also has what appears to be a bronze hood on it. Not sure of that as it's so far away.

The shot invites me into this space, for a moment of reflection in absolute silence. The choir's absence sings in its own way.

It does look like an old church - so much that the bare light bulb hanging on a cord seems very modern. Nice shot.

I love how the scrolling frames the area of seating that runs along the brick wall. What a great place for photography. This scroll work looks very old.

Interesting carving. There are some really nice earth coloured tones in this shot.
