This is a lovely shot and rather subtle as well. The bird's texture stands out even more than its color. I like the perspective from below looking through the branches. Brenda

This might be the best shot of a Cockatoo I've seen of yours. Well, amoung the best. Framed by his natural surroundings the lovely thin leave of the (?) tree. :o) I just want to give him a rub on his neck and tell him/her "what a pretty bird you are, you little marshmallow you!" I don't care how many votes you accumulate, it's a fantastic bird and shot!

I agree that the bird has some fine detail here, but I still prefer the other more unusual setting, where he (she?) is nestled in the trunk.
