Thanks, Colin. There's no HDR here, but the image has been processed pretty extensively in Photoshop. I had to lighten the foreground because the birds were in the shade while the building was in the brighter afternoon sun. I also darkened and intensified the blue in the upper part of the sky and added the warm glow in the lower left of the sky. Finally, I strengthened the colors in the building. I used the Nik Viveza plugin for everything except the warm glow in the sky. For that I used Nik Color Efex Pro. The birds pretty much ignored me because they were looking for seeds thrown by some of the tourists. In fact, some of the birds actually landed on my head while I was taking pictures!

Great shot, love the point of view you have here. What really makes this one for me is that the birds are just sort of, well, ignoring you and you must have been close.
I might be wrong, but the image looks slightly HDR processed?

Thanks, Shirley and Brian. Shirley, the pigeons were getting plenty of seeds from the tourists, but I'm sure they would always appreciate more! Brian, you are correct; I used live view and the articulated LCD of the E-3 to get this low angle.

Wow. Pigeons taking pictures - crazy!
Must have used Live View!
(Nice angle)...

I love the little feathered pedestrians here in the foreground. It looks like a city from my dreams. The building is really nice, great colors too. I wish I could give the pigeons some seeds.
