Mt Whitney (Sept 2007)

Solo hike to Upper Boy Scout Lake (~3450m). Next day I attempted Mt Russell East Arete, but turned around at ~4200m, then hiked on Mt Carillon (4131m). In the afternoon I moved camp to Iceberg Lake (~3850m) and the following day climbed Mountaineer's Route to the summit of Mt Whitney (4419m) and hiked back out.

Ich wanderte alleine zum Upper Boy Scout Lake (~3450m). Am nächsten Tag versuchte ich den Mt Russell East Arete, drehte aber auf ca. ~4200m um und bestieg Mt Carillon (4131m). Am Nachmittag verlagerte ich Camp zum Iceberg Lake (~3850m) und kletterte am nächsten Tag die Mountaineer's Route zum Gipfel von Mt Whitney (4419m) und dann gleich zurück zum Trailhead.
